Fiber Art Photos

I am adding some photos of some recent fiber art things that I have made.I have so much fun jumping around to new and different projects....rug hooking, embroidery, fabric collage and now I really want to experiment more with felt. Love to hear your comments and have visitors. I love to see what other artists are creating and get fresh inspiration.

More Global Art for Peace Projects...

I am adding the rest of our Global Art for Peace exchange projects. These were done by 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Mountain View School. This was a collaboration between the students and myself. I set up the project and background, provided the art materials and the kids took it from there. They named each piece and cut out the title from magazines. We will send them on their way next week. Our exchanges are to go to Morocco,Turkey, New Hampshire, Maryland, and Massachusetts. It will be fun to see what they made for us. We will display our art piece in each classroom until the end of the year. Check out the Global Art website to see our "PEACE" rug from the last exchange 2 years ago, http://www.globalartptoject.org and to find out about this great project headed up by Katherine Josten.

art spirit Global Art for Peace Project

I thought I would post some pictures of one of the Global Art for Peace Projects that we did at my son's school. This one was done by a 6th grade class. It is called "The Book of Peace and Wisdom". Each student created a page with a quote from a well known person and a messge from themselves. We will exchange it with a group in another part of the world and they will send us a piece of art for peace that they created. I have 4 more art projects in the Global Exchange that I will post this week. They are all really different and wonderful! So, in honor of Earth Day....
